We recognize that continued COVID-19 safety risks and regulations means that not all campers can participate in in-person camp this year. We are committed to maintaining the quality of our programming and building our camp community. As a community service and support in response to the current pandemic, Sugar Hollow Day Camp is offering FREE virtual camp to all girls, ages 5-17, again this year. You do NOT need to be a registered Girl Scout to attend. Camp will include many of our beloved traditions, including skill stations and a campfire!

Below are the registration choices for you and directions for registering for the camp experience that best fits your family’s needs.

Going for Gold!

As the 2020 Summer Olympics are being moved to 2021, our Going for Gold! theme will also shift to 2021. Join virtual camp, and light the torch! Find your inner sportswoman as we play games, build skills, and make new friends!

Other Sugar Hollow traditions will continue: Virtual campers will be challenged to enjoy nature, tie-dye camp shirts, hike, sing, and learn outdoor skills.

Virtual Camp Options

Virtual Camp Website: Bringing the Outdoors to You

Online website modules will walk your camper and family through activities to earn our council Summer Camp Progression Patch Program. Skills include fire safety, cooking, health and safety, tools, knots, hiking, nature, ceremonies, songs, games, and service. Campers will get a checklist to track their progress and modules with tutorial videos and resources. Most importantly, campers will be challenged to complete discovery activities that get them away from the screen and outdoors to develop their skills.

These activities will be free, self-paced, available throughout the month of July, and can be completed as many times as desired. We are offering unlimited spots for Virtual Camp. Links for the website will be emailed to campers around July 1. When registering, only one Virtual Camp subscription per household is needed.

Camp Kit: Supplying Fun One Box at a Time

For campers throughout the u.s.

Optional supply kits can supplement online module activities by providing campers with traditional camp materials, crafts, and mementos. The kits will include a SHDC 2021 shirt, dye for tie-dying the shirt, outdoor craft/activity kits, and 2021 patches (age-appropriate progression patch earned during the self-paced modules and a 2021 theme patch).

These kits can be purchased for $50 and include free shipping. We are limited to 400 total kits based on our suppliers and staff. When registering, we recommend 1 kit per camper.
