Create a Songbook

One of the best parts of Girl Scout camp is learning new songs! Every Girl Scout camp has songs that are a traditional part of their camp.

Start by creating a binder and adding your favorite songs from camp. Separate songs into sections, so they are easy for find later. Example sections include:

  • Slow songs

  • Fast songs

  • Action songs

  • Grace

  • Rounds

  • Scouts Own/Quiet Songs

After you have added your camp songs, do research on songs that other Girl Scout camps use. Add those songs to your book, too. Ask other Girl Scout friends about their favorite songs. Use this book when you teach other Girl Scouts at campfire or ceremonies. Also remember to bring it along on camping trips as a fun way to teach and learn new songs!
